Thomas J. and Sharon R. Robe Obituary
Thomas and Sharon (née Gajewski) Robe
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” James Robe and Sharon Rose Robe (nee Gajewski), devoted partners in life, love, and legacy, who both departed this world tragically on May 23, 2025, traveling to their family cottage near Crivitz, WI.
Tom Robe, 71, was a proud United States Marine whose dedication to service extended far beyond his military years. A man of discipline, resilience, and unwavering integrity, Tom carried the values of the Corps into every aspect of his life. He not only provided for his family but contributed to the livelihood of his community. Tom’s leadership, work ethic, and compassion made him a respected figure to all who knew him.
Sharon Robe, 68, spent over four decades as a registered nurse, touching countless lives with her compassion, skill, knowledge and quiet strength. From her early days in intermediate care to her later years in cardiology care, Sharon’s unwavering commitment to helping others was the cornerstone of her life’s work. Her gentle hands and kind heart offered comfort and healing to generations of patients and families. She was not only a caretaker but a mentor, friend, and source of inspiration to her colleagues and patients.
Together, Tom and Sharon built a beautiful life. Married for 45 years, they raised three children and were the proud grandparents of eight. The grandchildren were the center of their world. Their home was always filled with laughter, warm meals, and open doors. Whether hosting family dinners, attending every grandchild’s life events, or planning the next family activity or vacation, their legacy of kindness and family values leaves an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know them.
They are survived by their children—Steven (Zayra), Joseph (Melissa) and Theresa (Michael)—and their eight beloved grandchildren– Ellorie, Adan, Peter, Walton, Milana, Lucas, Ariana and Callum.. Tom and Sharon’s story continues on in the lives they touched, the lessons they taught, and the love they gave so freely.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate two extraordinary lives lived in service to others. Wake will be held on June 5 at 4pm-7pm at Discover Church. On June 6 there will be an additional wake at 9am-10:45am with service to follow at Discover Church 7311 S. 13th St, Oak Creek, WI 53154. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robe family memorials, in honor of Tom and Sharon’s proudest accomplishment – their grandchildren.

So sad to here about Tom & his wife in that very unfortunate car crash. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I never had the privilege of meeting Tom's wife; but from what I observed in high school, Tom was a sweet guy, a bit shy and pleasant and always a smile. (Always loved freckles.😊) He was that same sweet guy at our 51st class reunion. >
Blessings to his friends & family.❤️

Just Two Seconds…
Most appreciatively, Tom was an “old soul” type of guy. Always composed, pleasant, and friendly. Tom did not need or want to be the center of attention. He didn’t have to, because people just enjoyed being with him. His natural, laid-back, gentle spirit created a calmness and presence that benefited all who knew him.
Sadly, both Tom and his wife, Sharon, were taken from their loving family. Tears will fall. Hearts will be broken. And the grief of this loss may never end.
If Tom only had two seconds more, or less, what might have happened? The collision would have been narrowly avoided, and we would not be mourning the loss of two people who meant so much to so many.
In the most comforting way, if Tom were able to reflect on this heart-breaking tragedy, the “old soul” goodness inside of him would likely ask us to be more aware of those small moments and connections that make life so meaningful, knowing that someday we will be gone, leaving only treasured memories with those we loved and those who were our friends.
The loss of Tom and Sharon will never be forgotten by family and friends alike. Yet, if only one small gift may come from all of this sadness, it is the emphasis on the fragility of life and how precious every moment of life truly is.
