My favorite memory of Berta is her driving us to Madison for a cross country meet and going 100 miles an hour. We were lucky to get there alive. Never a dull moment with Berta!
Roberta (Reberta to me) & I used to walk partway home from grade school quite often in the warmer weather. She had some good birthday sleepovers and always had a smile for you. RIP Reberta.
I was lucky to have Roberta as a lifelong friend since high school. We stood up in each other's weddings, our children played together, and just the thought of her makes me smile. She had a heart of gold, and she also had a good sense of humor. We just had so much fun.
