Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Frohnauer

October 11, 1953 - May 29, 2014

Cynthia “Cindy” Frohnauer was born on October 11, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Herbert and Dolores (Stanislawski) Kent.

Cindy was a very special lady whose qualities emanated from the very depths of her heart and soul. She was a gift to all whom she touched.

She was first and foremost a “MOM” to Nick, Jesse and Krystin. She was a loving wife to Steve for almost 38 years having been married on June 12, 1976. Steve and Cindy have shared their love for each other for over 40 years. She also loved being a grandma to Jack, Gavin, Natalie, Alix, Maddie, Noah, and Fiona.

Cindy taught second grade at the Osceola Elementary School for 20 years, a time she thoroughly loved. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, acting in local plays, and helping out at the Amery Public Library. Cindy especially loved the earth and its environment with all the animals and especially the birds.


Cindy died at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her mother Dolores, whom she had a very special relationship with; and her sister-in-law Pam (Kevin) Kent. Cindy lovingly leaves behind her husband Steve; her three children: Nick (Jen) Frohnauer and their son Jack, Jesse (Daniel) Gerhardt and their children Madeline, Fiona and Noah, and Krystin Frohnauer and her children Gavin, Natalie and Alix; her father and stepmother Herb and Shirley Kent; siblings: Lynn (Ray) Knapp, Kevin (and special friend Laura) Kent, Kerry (Ann) Kent, Gail (Roy) Knapp, Patrice (Jim) Milzer; mother and father-in-law Paula and Leonard Frohnauer; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Frohnauer and Larry Shingleton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tony and Kelly Frohnauer; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family gives special thanks to the doctors, nurses, PCA’s and staff at Sacred Heart Hospital for their extraordinary care given to Cindy with compassion, tenderness, and love. Memorials may be made in her name to the charity of your choice or to the Cindy Frohnauer Memorial Scholarship Fund (Contact is Krystin or the Osceola School District at 715-294-4140.)

Wonderful person, who loved her family, traveling and horses.  Always cheerful and fun.

Cindy and I went to school together from grade school on and I always remeber her coming up the long driveway to the bus on 27th st. and she was so cute in her fuzzy yellow sweater and yellow socks . My last memory of her was at Sandys house and she continued to be the same kind person she had always been

I remember standing in the lunch line with Cindy often and I remember her love of horses.  So sorry to hear this news.
